# Create an Event

Events and activities can be hosted by anyone! Mount farming, FATE farming, meet-and-greets and more can be hosted.

Create the event in Discord, pick a place to host it (e.g., the FC house), and ping related roles in Discord when it's time to group up!

Make your event your way and consider pinging people and posting in-game when it's time to start!

Note: Being a solo-friendly FC, it's always possible not many people will notice or be interested. It can be good to ping a role before making event to see if there's any interested in making an event.

## Make a Discord Event

* Everyone with the **Brynhildr** Discord role can create [Discord events](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409494125719-Scheduled-Events).
* Everyone with the **Fun Club** Discord role can create and manage [Discord events](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409494125719-Scheduled-Events).
* Everyone may ping [General Roles](https://info.ff14fun.club/community/discord/roles) in ⁠[#ffxiv-events](https://discord.com/channels/714577551502213150/809909743937388615) to ping about an event. (Example: @Content Farming Come to my Treasure Map Party today at 6pm PT!)

Get the roles by visiting the [#welcome](https://discord.com/channels/714577551502213150/714577552009855048) channel and doing the `/xiv iam` bot command.

### Click the Event button at the top of channels

### Click Create Event

### **Select a Location**

If you plan to use a Voice Channel, click that option and select the one you want to use.

Otherwise, select Somewhere Else and type in a location.

### Fill in Event Info

Add a title, select a date and time (localized to you), how often to run it, a description and image!

### Review and Create Event!

You can use the link that's provided to post about your event.

Feel free to post in the #ffxiv-events channel and ping a role to let people know about your event!

You can click the ... by your event to edit, manually start, or cancel your event.

You can click "Copy Event Link" and post it in Discord to share it out. You can use [General Roles](https://info.ff14fun.club/community/discord/roles) to ping people too!

## Use Discord and FC chat to group up

Visit ⁠[#ffxiv-events](https://discord.com/channels/714577551502213150/809909743937388615) and use [General Roles](https://info.ff14fun.club/community/discord/roles) to ping people for grouping up!

Example: @Content Farming Let's do some treasure maps today at 6pm PST!

In FC chat, you can also post to see if anyone wants to group up.

Example: Let's do some treasure maps today at 6pm PST!\
Example: I'm grouping up now to run some treasure maps! Anyone want to join?
