In Fun Club, we strive to provide a wholistic community feel where everyone is welcome to join each other's fun! We're about bringing people together, and we do that by using FC services where we all can have a chance to join and have fun.
Since the beginning, we've strongly encouraged people to use our FC server and chats as the go-to place for meeting, interacting and playing with fellow FC members. Doing so gives members the opportunity to hop in, chat and join the random fun people are having, paving a path to making new friends and connections.
Cliques and private spaces detract from that vision by taking away the sense of community and creating chasms between friend groups. People, especially newcomers, can feel left out and sidelined. And as a result, many have departed the FC because of it.
To that end, mentioning cliques and private spaces is not allowed. We want everyone feel welcome to join in the fun and not feel left out!
If you are gathering other members for something (e.g., roulettes, farming, raids, another game, social event, etc.) in an FC space (e.g., FC house/yard, FC chat, FC Discord, etc.) use FC chats and FC Discord for the activity. Don't suggest joining a personal/private Discord.
Examples where FC chat and FC Discord should be used:
Grouping up with other members for daily roulettes.
Gathering other members for a random EX trial or FATE farm.
Creating a new raid static and recruiting/filling other members for it.
If you have personal/private spaces you're a part of, avoid mentioning those spaces in FC chats and channels. There may be cases where such a mention could be approved.
Examples where mentions should be avoided in FC chats and channels:
Asking in FC chat or voice for a friend to join you in a personal/private server's voice chat.
Instead, send them a /tell, Discord DM, text, etc. instead of using public prompts.
Mentioning in FC chat that someone missed a group-up opportunity that was not held in an FC space.
Example where a personal/private space post may be approval:
An event hosted by another FC that all of Fun Club is invited to with details in their Discord.
If you have a personal/private space that you like using with friends, avoid inviting other members to it just to join for chat and activities.
Examples where members joining a personal/private space may be considered siphoning:
You raid with a non-FC Discord and continuously invite other recruited or fill FC members to it.
Instead, either raid with FC Discord or recruit/fill elsewhere.
You play other games and periodically invite other members you find with similar interests to your personal/private Discord.
Instead, play together with members in FC spaces. You might even find more people with the same interest who can now join the fun.
You create an event or activity in a personal/private Discord and invite other members there for it.
Instead, host your event or activity with the FC Discord so everyone has an open, visible opportunity to join in the fun.
Pre-existing friend groups are fine. You might also become good friends with other members over time and want to play or interact with them more exclusively. Going along with all the above points, please keep them to yourselves.
Examples of friend groups that might have personal/private spaces:
IRL friends and family
Friends and acquaintances that come from another FC or game
Raid groups that formed from past PF encounters, social media recruitment, etc.
Newfound friends who form a personal bond and relationship with each other.
